The birth of a grandchild can be a glorious thing except for those times when the family receives the devastating news that the child is affected by a rare heart condition that effects just three in one million families.
Longtime Olympia Fields Country Club Member and past Board of Governor, Brandt Oosterbaan and family are facing just that situation. Rosemary (Rosie) Ryan was born this past November and suffers from dilated cardiomyopathy. On Mother’s Day she received a heart transplant. This coming September family, friends and community members are hosting a benefit event called “Ring Around the Rosie”.
